Growing Dianthus deltoides

Comments: Maiden Pink is not long-lived and likes full sun and a light, well-drained, alkaline soil. The small flowers are produced in May and June. Shear the plant after flowering and provide winter protection. Maiden Pink forms a dense mat and can be used as a ground cover. Self-seeded volunteers can become a nuisance.


Propagation

Large clumps may be divided in the spring.

'Brilliancy' - Bright, rose colored blooms.
'Brilliant' - Bright crimson flowers are produced on mats of plants only 4 inches (10cm) tall .
'Brilliant Cascade' - Bright crimson flowers on 6-inch (15cm) tall plants.
'Flashing Lights' - Rose-red flowers.
'Microchip' - White flowers with a red eye.
'Zing Rose' - Bright pink flowers.
