Height: 15 in (37 cm)
Spacing: 9 in (23 cm)
Type: hardy bulb
Flowers: Blue, pink, purple, red, white, yellow
Comments: The garden Hyacinth bulb produces fragrant flowers and likes a well-drained soil and a sunny location. The flowers last longer in partial shade. The Hyacinth bulb does not like dry soil and declines fairly rapidly after the first year. A winter mulch is suggested.
In the garden Hyacinth bulbs should be planted 6 inches (15 cm) deep in regular garden soil, but in heavy soil plant 4 to 5 inches (10-12 cm) deep. In sand increase the planting depth to 7 to 8 inches (18-20 cm).
Propagation: The Hyacinth bulb may be divided when dormant.
