Height: 20 in in (50 cm)

Spacing: 9 in (23 cm)

Type: hardy bulb

Flowers: Orange, pink, red, white, yellow.

Comments: There are many types of Daffodils and most are suitable for naturalistic planting. They are long-lived but will not tolerate water-logged soil. They do like a fertile well-drained soil. The flowers last longer in partial shade. The time for planting Daffodil bulbs is in the fall, placing them 6 inches (15 cm) deep and 6 inches (15 cm) apart. Plant miniatures closer together and not as deep. Double nosed bulbs are actually two blooming sized bulbs joined together. These produce two flowers instead of one.

Propagation: Daffodil bulbs are divided when the leaves mature. Many leaves and few flowers indicate a need for dividing.
